Oceans and Beaches

When I was teaching in Illinois, many kids had not even seen Lake Michigan... which was less than an hour from our school... let alone an actual ocean! I liked bringing a little bit of the beach to them.

This is a fun unit to do in the summer when you can include some water play outdoors, or in the winter when everyone needs a little bit of sunshine and warmth.
